Kia’s 2024 EV9 Lease Deal Undercuts Competitors, Brings Affordable Electric SUV to Market

Kia Motors, a leading global automobile manufacturer, is set to revolutionize the electric vehicle (EV) market with its latest offering – the 2024 Kia EV9. This new electric SUV combines affordability with impressive performance, showcasing Kia’s commitment to sustainable mobility.

The 2024 EV9, Kia’s first three-row electric SUV, is positioned to make a significant impact in the electric vehicle segment. Its competitive lease deal, priced at $599 per month for 36 months with $5,999 due at signing, is a game-changer.

This offer is for the Light Long Range model, which has a starting MSRP of $60,695, inclusive of a $1,495 destination fee. The deal is particularly noteworthy considering its range of up to 304 miles, making it a practical choice for both daily commutes and longer trips.

Comparatively, the base EV9 Light model, with a starting price of $56,395 (including destination fees), offers up to 223 miles range, demonstrating Kia’s commitment to providing options that cater to various consumer needs.

For those seeking more power and space, the all-wheel-drive (AWD) 2024 EV9 Wind trim is available for a slightly higher lease of $659 per month. The Wind trim, with an MSRP of $65,395, accommodates up to seven passengers and offers a range of 280 miles, blending performance with practicality.

Kia’s strategic pricing places the EV9 in direct competition with its internal combustion engine counterparts and other electric vehicles in the market. The lease deals include $7,500 in lease cash, a similar offer to what is currently available on the EV6. When considering the upfront costs, the monthly expense for the Light trim equates to approximately $766, while the Wind trim would cost around $826.

The introduction of the EV9 comes at a time when consumer interest in electric vehicles is at an all-time high. Kia has taken steps to ensure that dealers avoid markups on the EV9, reflecting lessons learned from the launch of the EV6, which saw markups as high as $20,000. This strategy underscores Kia’s commitment to making electric vehicles more accessible and affordable.

In addition to the EV9, Kia is expanding its electric lineup with the introduction of the Long Range Light EV6 trim for 2024. Priced at $45,950 and offering up to 310 miles of range, this model targets the optimal balance between cost and range, further cementing Kia’s position as a leader in the EV market.
